Obituary of Arnold Everett Monteith

Arnold Everett Monteith, 79, of Bryson City, went home to be with the Lord, Sunday, November 3, 2013 at Cornerstone Assisted Living Center. A native of Swain County, he was the son of the late Dillard Rome and Nellie Jones Monteith. He was a member of Arlington Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife Sandra Diane Monteith; two brothers, Clayton and Kenneth Monteith. He is survived by one son, Darrell Monteith of Bryson City; one daughter Dorinda Shook and husband Tom of Bryson City; three grandchildren, Kaelob, Devon, and Kierra; one sister, Juanita Thomas of Franklin; and two brothers Cecil and Lyndon Monteith of Bryson City. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday in the Chapel of Crisp Funeral Home. Rev. Larry Spencer will officiate with burial in the Arlington Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 until 9:00 PM Tuesday at the Funeral Home.
