Obituary of Marvin R Ledford

Marvin R. Ledford, 76, formerly of Bryson City and longtime resident of Haywood County went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, November 15, 2011 at his residence. He was the son of the late Jess and Annie Mae McGaha Ledford. He was a U.S. Army veteran having served as Military Police. He was a member of Holly Springs Baptist Church. He also was a volunteer for Haywood Christian Ministries for 15 years. He was a retired employee with Brown and Williamson Tobacco Corp. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Pamela Ledford. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Patricia Clark Ledford; one son, Mark Ledford and wife Cheryl of Greensboro, NC; two grandchildren, Morgan and Sarah Ledford. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday in the chapel of Crisp Funeral Home. Rev. Eddie Stillwell will officiate with burial in Holly Springs Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 2:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
