Obituary of Bobby Fred Dills

Bobby Fred Dills, 75, of the Sawmill Creek Community, went home to be with the Lord, surrounded by his family, Friday, September 13th, 2013 in a Buncombe County Hospital. A native of Swain County, he was the son of the late Richard and Octie Truett Dills. He was an avid Fisherman and Hunter and loved to cook and see people eat. He was preceded in death by a son Bobby Dills, Jr., four brothers, and one sister.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Juanita Harris Dills, three daughters; Judy Cochran and husband Rick of Bryson City, Angie Ashe and husband David of Aberdeen, WA, and Tammy Owen and husband Brian of Little Canada, one daughter-in-law Kim Trantham and husband Max of Bryson City, 11 grandchildren; Travis Cochran, Ryan Cochran, Bryan Cochran, Courtney Hoyle, Justin Dills, Hailey Trantham, Miranda Conrad, Cari Baxter, Jason Ashe, Casey Owen and Jamie Owen, 19 Great grandchildren, and three sisters; Pauline Dillard of Bryson City, Hazel Burns of Tullahoma, TN, and Olene Witcher of Greensboro, NC.
Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM Monday at Mt. Vernon Freewill Baptist Church of which he was a member. Rev. Jeff Waldroup will officiate with burial in the Old Davis Branch Cemetery.
The family will receive friends starting at 6:00 PM Sunday at the Church.
Crisp Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Pallbearers will be Travis Cochran, Ryan Cochran, Justin Dills, Bryan Cochran, Gentry Parris, and Troy Whiteside.
