Obituary of Charles Albert Wandell

Charles Albert Wandell, 49, of Dillsboro, passed away Friday, August 30, 2013 in a Buncombe County Hospital. A native of N.J. He had been a resident of Swain and Jackson Counties since 1983. He was a business owner of Charlies' Automotive. He was preceded in death by his father, Edwin Wandell. He is survived by his mother, Martha Lackey of Bryson City; three children, Nicole Parton and husband Kenneth of Bryson City, Jolene Parris and husband Brian of Sylva, Chris (Mike) Wandell of Bryson City; three grandchildren, Deanna Wood, Ryan Parris, Waylon Parton; one sister, Kimberly Fales Pettit of Lawton, OK; and two brothers, Darrell Fales of Friendswood, TX, and Stephan Wandell of Pittsgrove, N.J., and a best friend and Mother of the children; Patty Davison. Graveside services will be held at 2:30 pm Monday at Franklin Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1 until 2 pm Monday at Crisp Funeral Home.
