Obituary of Brenda Dianne Davis

Bryson City Dateline: Brenda Dianne Laws Davis, 59, of the Jackson Line Community, went home to be with the Lord, Wednesday, August 21st, 2013 in a Buncombe County Hospital. A native of Swain County, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Iretha Proctor Laws. She was a member of Jackson Line Baptist Church. She was a former secretary for the Inspiration Quartet in Bryson City, and later worked for Bryson Manufacturing. She was preceded in death by a son, Jeffrey James Davis. She is survived by her husband of 39 years, Tommy Davis; one daughter, Olivia King and husband J.C. of Bryson City; Foster Daughter, Katie Bird of the home; one brother, Larry Proctor and wife Dot of Easley, SC, and one sister Debbie Burrell of Sylva, NC. Funeral Services will be held 3:00 PM Saturday in the Chapel of Crisp Funeral Home. Revs. Tom Harris and Mike Cogdill will officiate with burial in the Bryson City Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9:00 PM Friday at the Funeral Home.
