Obituary of Patricia Louise Bowers

Patricia Louise Bowers, 66, of the Alarka Community went home to be with the Lord, Thursday, August 15, 2013 in a Jackson County Hospital. A native of Buncombe County, she has been a resident of Swain County for 47 years. She was employed with Mountain View Manor Nursing Home for 30 years. She was the daughter of Rev. James Vaughn of Robbinsville and the late Frances Greene Vaughn. She also was preceded in death by two brothers, Ray Vaughn and Kie Vaughn. She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Arvil Bowers; three children, Kim Craig and husband Leo of Sylva, Arvil Bowers and wife Christy of Bryson City, Anthony Vaughn and wife Melissa of Bryson City; four grandchildren, Shelby Bowers, Darien Vaughn, Daniel Bowers, and Carson Vaughn. Memorial Services will be held 8:00 PM Saturday in the Chapel of Crisp Funeral Home. Revs. Tony Oliver and Jimmy Lambert will officiate. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8:00 PM Saturday at the Funeral Home.
