Dear Family, I am deeply saddened by the loss of your dear mother. My memories of her are all so warm and wonderful. When I lost my own mother it was Helen who said the only truly useful thing I gleaned from all the condolences offered. She knew how close we were and promised me that this pain would one day lift, that no one could say when or how, that I might not even notice it at first, but indeed the unbearable anguish would lift. Her wisdom, compassion, dry humor, and wonderful laugh I will cherish forever. Amazing matriarch, in the arms of our Lord now, doubtless improving society in heaven. My momma loved her too. Hope they're eating fried okra together and catching up. God Bless her sweet soul.

Jo: Just read in the paper about your Mom. I know it is hard but she is like my mother and lived a long time (Mother was 95). It is never easy and we are never prepared. Know that my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Tell Shelba I said hello (if she remembers me). I remember when we used to come to Kirkland's Creek to church and your Mom and Dad were friends with mine. Long time ago! I am sorry for your loss and wish there was something I could do but I know you just have to deal with it. If there is something, let me know and I will be happy to do whatever you need. Betty

So saddened to hear of Helen's passing. Had we known before late Tuesday evening, my girls and I would have been there for the services. Helen was the only grandmother I knew on the Becker side of the family and my sisters and I loved her as she was our natural grandmother. I truly enjoyed my visits with her over the last year. Sometimes she knew me but most times not but her contentedness and her wonderful disposition is something that I admired greatly. She will be missed. Prayers of peace for all.

Dear Family, I am so sorry to hear of Helens passing. She was such a nice lady.She was part of my life growing up on Deep Creek. She and her family was always so good to me and my family.
