Obituary of Lucille Payne

Bryson City Dateline: Lucille Dixon Payne, 95, of Bryson City, NC passed away, on April 13, 2013 at Mountain View Nursing Home. Mrs. Payne was born March 5th, 1918 to the late John Parker and Ida Mae Cutcher Dixon in McCaysville, GA. Preceded in death by husbands Wade A. Sutton of Bryson City and Carl Payne of Turtletown, TN. She was also preceded in death by a son Dale A. Sutton, sisters Ruby Sparks and Bonnie Helms, Twin sister Louise Ryder, and brothers Jack Verlin, and Von Dixon. She was a member of Jackson Line Baptist Church. Surviving are daughters Janice Sutton of Bryson City and Judy Estes of Rockledge, FL, stepson and wife Jimmy and Carolyn Payne of Turtletown, TN, 6 grandchildren, 2 step grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild. Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday in the Chapel of Crisp Funeral Home. Rev. Jim Cochran and Sister Linda Wike will officiate with burial in Swain Memorial Park.
