Mark Kent Jenkins, 42, of the Stephenson Branch Community went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, June 1, 2010 in a Buncombe County Hospital. A native of Swain County, he was the son of John Marshall Jenkins and step mother, Patty of Bryson City, and the late Edna Amburn Jenkins. He was employed with Coca-Cola as assistant warehouse manager. He was preceded in death by a brother, Johnny Jenkins.
He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Joan Wiggins Jenkins; two brothers, Mitchell and Tim Jenkins both of Bryson City; one sister, Cindy Tyner of Greenville, SC; several nieces and nephew, aunts and uncles.
Funeral services will be held at 8:00 p.m. Friday in the chapel of Crisp Funeral Home. Chaplain John Mason will officiate.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
