Prestyn R-Ly Panther, 2 year old infant of Angela Elyssa Panther of the Big Cove Community went home to be with the Lord Sunday, March 17, 2013 at her home. She was preceded in death by a grandfather, Samuel Panther, Sr. and cousin, Darrin Panther. In addition to her mother, she is survived by her grandmother, Gloria Panther of Cherokee; grandfather, Elliott (Dump) French of Cherokee; great grandmother, Katie Panther of Cherokee; three uncles, Merrill Panther, Corbin Panther, Aaronn Squirrel, all of Cherokee; three aunts, Tiffany Panther, Ericka Panther, Angel Squirrel, all of Cherokee; several great aunts, uncles, and cousins; special friends, Frank and Angie Maennle, Norma Cook, Gail Freshour, and Larry and Janet Bryant, all of Bryson City. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at the home of Tiffany Panther on Bunches Creek Rd. Revs. Charles Ray Ball and Greg Morgan will officiate with burial in the Panther Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends from noon until 8 p.m. Tuesday at the home. Pallbearers will be Robbie Panther, Shane Sneed, Kennan Panther, and Tyler Cook. Crisp Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
