Obituary of Floy Parris

Bryson City Dateline: Floy Brooks Parris, 83, of the Alarka Community, went to meet her Heavenly Father on Sunday, February 17th, 2013 in a Swain County Health Care facility. Born July 20, 1929 in Gilbert Louisiana to the late Rev. James Harrison and Hattie Brendle Brooks. She attended the Alarka Church of God. She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years Banner Parris and several brothers and sisters. She is survived by one daughter Donna Becker and husband Eddie; one son Eual Ray Parris and wife Judith; four grandchildren, Lynn Becker, Jennifer Burchfield, Sharon Becker, and Johnathan Parris; four great grandchildren; two sisters Lula Gardner of Mebane, NC, and Pergie Bradford of Jena, Louisiana. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday in the Chapel of Crisp Funeral Home. Services will be conducted by Revs. Roger Frady, and Benji Collins with burial in Mason Branch Cemetery.
