Obituary of Carolyn Ann Shook

Carolyn Ann Shook, 72, of Shook Road went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, January 29, 2013 at her residence. A native of Indiana, she has been a resident of Swain County for the past 25 years. She was preceded in death by her parents, Leslie and Pauline Marsh Flowers; two brothers, Bobby Kenny Flowers, Dale Flowers; and a sister, Modina Carey. She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Gerald Shook; three children, Jerry Shook and wife Angela of Bryson City, Paula LeGrow and husband Gordon of Waynesville, Tom Shook and wife Dorinda of Bryson City; five grandchildren, Jennifer S. Wike, Gabbi Shook, Bekah Shook, Kaelob Shook, Kierra Shook; two great grandchildren, Mijo S. Wike, Zaidita Wike; three sisters, Jean Hudley of FL, Lucille McDaniels of AL, Margaret Flowers of MI; and two brothers, Jerry and John Flowers both of MI. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday in the chapel of Crisp Funeral Home. Rev. Larry Spencer will officiate with burial in the Arlington Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1 until 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
