Obituary of Samuel Dondi Jackson

Samuel Dondi Jackson, 63, resident of Bryson City, NC passed away August 16th 2024 after a motor vehicle accident. He is pre- deceased by his mother Vencie Bishop Jackson. He is survived by his father Thomas McCuiston Jackson of Kingston, NC. He leaves behind brother Dana Jackson of Myrtle Beach, SC, brother Nicky Jackson (with Barbara Jackson) of Myrtle Beach, SC, brother Shannon Jackson (with Maria Jackson) of Greenville, SC, brother Shawn Jackson of Kingston, NC, son Dondi Jackson Jr of Myrtle Beach, SC, daughter Brittany Cartwright of Myrtle Beach, SC, daughter Emma O’Neal of Summerville, SC, three grandchildren, Kaydence and Sophia Cartwright, and Tristen Jackson. In addition to family, Dondi leaves behind his partner of four years, Kathy Dunmeyer Robert’s who stood by his side until the Lord called him home.
Dondi was born May 2nd, 1961 in Kinston, NC to Vencie and Tom Jackson. He moved to Myrtle Beach SC, and attended Myrtle Beach High school. He was a member of their football team, and graduated in 1979. After graduating, he began his electrical career at 18, as an apprentice with Mancill Electric in Myrtle Beach. Dondi married Carol Davis in 1981 and had two children, Dondi Jr. and Brittany Jackson. He later went on to become a master electrician, had a second marriage to Sandy Lenz, started his own Electrical company in Summerville SC, and had daughter Emma Jackson. He was highly sought after for his knowledge and expertise in the electrical field, which spanned his 45 year career.
Dondi loved his children more than anything, and he also loved being a grandpa to his grandchildren. He loved going to the movies, hiking, camping, and building things, but most of all Dondi enjoyed spending time with the Lord, reading his bible in the solitude of the beautiful North Carolina mountains.
He led a full life, and will be dearly missed. A celebration of life will be held at The Christian Church of Myrtle Beach , 1226 Burcale Rd, Myrtle Beach, SC on Monday August 26, 2024 at 11:00am .
