Mildred Tallent Bryson, 96, of Bryson City went to be with Jesus Tuesday, July 16, 2024. A native of Swain County, she was the daughter of the late James Claude and Eva Cunningham Tallent and wife of the late Harvey Bryson. She was a homemaker, avid reader and an exceptional gardener who grew the most beautiful flowers. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Tom Tallent, John Harley Tallent, Coburn Tallent; sister, Dess Breedlove; and her son, Brent Thomas. She is survived by her brother, Harry Tallent; sister, Maxine Smiley; daughters, Kathy Greene, Patty Trosclair and husband Scott; son, Harvey D. Bryson, Jr. (Chip) and wife Fran; grandchildren, Robin Laws and husband Michael, Vance Greene, III, Candice Hoover and husband Jeremy, Shannon Trosclair, Hannah Trosclair; great grandchildren, Mikel, Emily, Olivia, Karin, Carley, Kelsey, Jace, Max, Olivia, Marigny; great great grandchildren, Conley and Israel. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm Friday, July 19, 2024 in the chapel of Crisp Funeral Home. Rev. David Postell will officiate. The family will receive friends from 2 to 3 pm Friday at the funeral home.
