Obituary of Jerry Vaughn Tipton

Jerry Vaughn Tipton, age 72, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, July 11th, 2024, at Four Season’s Elizabeth House in Flat Rock, NC. He is a native of Graham County and born on June 27th, 1952. He resided in the Sweetwater community and was beloved for his vibrant blue hydrangeas which brough beauty to the mountain side. He is preceded in death by his parents, Clell and Erma Jenkins Tipton. Jerry is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Patricia; daughter, Jane Pannell (Michael); and sons, Jerry Tipton Jr. (Kimberly) and Vondale Tipton (Sabrina). He has 12 grandchildren: Edan Moore (Jess), Christy Furr (Michael), Danielle Tipton, Erin Phillips (Dominque), Summer Stepp (Zach), Chelsey Jenkins, Bruce Tipton (Dee), Ethan Pannell (Shawntay), Eli Tipton, Caitlin Jenkins, Emma Tipton, and Teagan Tipton. He has 11 great-grandchildren: Caden, Carson, Cameron, Ryland, Sophie, Naomi, Theo, Olivia, Vivian, Oaklyn, and Valerie. He is also survived by four brothers Tony Tipton (Bonnie) Danny Tipton (Audrie) Clell Tipton (Denise) Russel Tipton (Karen) His family is grateful for the time they shared, and the many memories created together. Jerry loved being outside, spending time with his family, fishing, telling stories, working in his wood pile and flowers bed, but most importantly, sharing his love and faith in Jesus Christ. He dedicated his life to providing for his family and ensuring their well-being. His infectious sense of humor brought laughter to everyone around him. Jerry will be greatly missed by all who knew him, but what a day it will be when we see him again. Funeral Services will be held at 11:30 am, Monday, July 15th, 2024, at Crisp Funeral Home. The Reverend Raymond Cook will officiate. Burial will follow the service at Jenkins Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:30 till 11:30am at the funeral home prior to the service
