Robert “Bud” L. Hurley, 91, of the Lands Creek Community, went home to be with the Lord Wednesday, July 10, 2024. A native of Swain County he was the son of the late Fred and Nettie Burns Hurley. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by Daughter, Angie Cagle, brothers, Carl Barnes, Clint Hurley; sisters, Jetty Willis, Anna Ogle. Robert was a US Army Veteran having served in the Korean Conflict. He was a member and Deacon at Spruce Grove Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Sarah L Hurley; Daughters, Sharon Littrell and husband Randy, Jeanie Stephens and husband Henry, son-in-law Jerry Cagle; sister Helen Jenkins, grandchildren, Tammy Slider and husband Russ, Julie Faulkenberry and husband Zack, Jordan Holbrooks and husband Chad; great grandchildren, Lindsey and Kuechly Faulkenberry, Nolan Slider, Raylen Holbrooks. Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM Sunday at Crisp Funeral Home Chapel. Brother Roger Roland will officiate. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM Sunday at the Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Four Seasons Foundation 211 N. Main Street Henderson, NC 28792.
