Obituary of Anne M. Hedgebeth

Carolyn Anne McHan Hedgebeth passed away June 7, 2024 in a Hampton VA. Hospital.
She was 83 years old. She lived in Hampton VA where she retired as a telephone operator for Southern Bell. She was a graduate of Swain County High School. She was the daughter of Ellis and Parcie B. McHan.
She is survived by her husband Donnie M. Hedgebeth and 3 sisters, Linda M. Huskey and husband Beecher of Bryson City, NC, Kay M. Moore of Bryson City, NC, and Betty M. Clontz of Grafton VA.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Donna K. Hedgebeth and sisters, Hilda M. Somers of Beltsville, MD, Gilda M. Dukes of Bryson City, NC, Bobbie M. Jenkins of Gloucester VA, Wayne McHan of Franklin, NC, Doris M. Lindsay of Winston Salem, NC, Stuart McHan of Bryson City, NC, JT McHan of Bryson City, NC and William McHan of Bryson City, NC, and Ruth McHan of Bryson City, NC.
Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM Saturday June 22, 2024 at Mt. Zion Baptist Church of which she was a member. Pastor David Watkins will officiate with burial at Sawyer Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM Saturday June 22, 2024 at the Church.
There will be a meal provided for the family after the service and burial by Mt. Zion Baptist Church.
