Obituary of Mabel G Russell

Mabel G. Russell, 92, of Bryson City and previously of Balsam, North Carolina passed away at Bryson Senior Assisted Living. Born in Dover, New Jersey, Mabel was the daughter of the late Raymond and Lillian Milburn. Mabel was an ambitious and resourceful entrepreneur in New Jersey where she owned and operated her commercial cleaning company, Russell Cleaning Service. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, John (2009), sons Jimmy (1999) and Jack (2016), and daughter, Catherine (2001), Mabel leaves daughter, Frieda Macri, of Mendham, New Jersey, loving sister, Arlene Olivo of Dover, New Jersey, and dear sister-in-law, Ruthann Russell of Toms River, New Jersey. Mabel's legacy remains with ten beloved grandchildren: Wayne, Kevin, Nicholas; Laura, Sharon, Jamie, Stephen, Melody; Rebecca and Brian; along with seventeen treasured great grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. Mabel is also survived by so many endearing nieces and caring nephews, along with extended family. Mabel expressed a sincere, heartfelt faith in Jehovah God for our future peace on Earth. She enjoyed her many beloved friendships with Jehovah's Witnesses first in Dover, New Jersey and in retirement to North Carolina in Waynesville, Sylva, and Bryson City. She will be sorely missed for her beautiful smile, optimistic spirit, well-known generosity, and encouragement to all who knew and loved her. As a five-year resident of Bryson Senior Living, Mabel was very appreciative of the love and care she received so generously from her caregivers - true angels for their genuine concern and ongoing support. Thank you to all who participated in her care. Mabel has been entrusted in the hands of Crisp Funeral Home. She will travel to New Jersey for her final resting place at the Rockaway Valley Cemetery, following a graveside service this spring (Service information will be posted once a date is set)
