Myra, I am devastated to hear about Mark's passing. I only recently learned of his death while searching for another obituary, and I am at a loss for words. My son Christopher and I offer our deepest condolences and love. Mark was an extraordinary person who valued others for who they were, and nothing else mattered to him. He had an incredible ability to see the goodness in people and was always willing to go above and beyond for others, and I deeply admired that about him.
I will always cherish the memories of our Saturday wing days together at work. I regret not doing a better job of keeping in touch after we both moved on to new jobs. My heart aches knowing that I won't have the opportunity to catch up with him again. I know how much he cherished you, Myra, and the love he had for Nicholas (and Alabama football). You are in my thoughts and prayers, and I pray that you find comfort and strength during this difficult time.
May you and your family be surrounded by blessings, and may God's love bring you solace. God bless you.

Mark was a caring, people person Always helping someone , and working hard also. He took me to the airport when I needed to see my family. He helped with our food ministry at Christ fellowship coordinating and bringing food to those in need.Mark was there a church to greet us and sometimes joke with us.He would say at times that he wanted to see Jesus, And now he has, but we miss him dearly. Praying for his family.

Our sweet funny Mark. Got to see him at our last 1978 class reunion. He will always be in our memories & a special place in our hearts. There are really no words to say how sorry I am. I know he will be missed beyond words. I know we will see him again someday but when our Lord calls me home. I love you Mark. So thankful for our friendship. Until we meet again.

I had the opportunity to talk with Mark two summers ago. He was always kind to me. He would go out of his way to make me feel welcomed. He was a light for this dark world. He could say as the apostle Paul said, “follow me for I am following Jesus. “ he will be missed. Percy Cunningham
