Obituary of Dianne Sutton Jones

Dianne (Ann) Sutton Jones, 57, of the Needmore community went home to be with the Lord Thursday, December 20, 2012 in a Buncombe County Hospital. A native of Swain County, she was the daughter of the late Luther and Pauline DeHart Sutton. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Melvin Jones; two daughters, Paula Shields and husband Matthew of Andrews, Misty Postell of Bryson City; five grandchildren, Cynthia and Joshua Shields, Anna, Taysia, and Dabrina Postell; two sisters, Bonnie Cochran and husband Raymond of Bryson City, Linda Lawrence of Bryson City; two brothers, Marvin Sutton of Bryson City, Charles Sutton and wife Jennifer of Mills River, NC; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday at Hightower Baptist Church of which she was a member. Revs. Emory Brooks and Jeff Waldroup will officiate with burial in Lauada Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at Crisp Funeral Home where the body will remain until placed in the church 30 min. prior to the service. Pallbearers will be nephews.
