Dana Diana “Diane” York Lupo, 69, of Goose Creek South Carolina and Whittier North Carolina, passed away peacefully, September 20, 2023 after an extended illness. She was the daughter of the late Ralph E. and Carrie Green York.
She was born in Sylva, NC, September 20, 1954; a pre-k and early education teacher she loved and enjoyed working with children in their formative years. She married her husband Roy Lupo in 1970 after a yearlong courtship.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her son Jason Todd Lupo and two Sisters Emma Sue Hamby, and Joyce Gail Nuedling, and brother Carroll Ray York.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her son Joshua Thomas Lupo of Goose Creek SC.; two brothers: Walter Thomas York of Sevierville TN, and her twin David Daniel York of Bryson City NC.; two grandchildren: Christian Donald Lupo (Jessica) of Goose Creek SC, Tara Lynn Lupo (Allen) of Walterboro SC; and two great-grandchildren: Kason Kyle McLaughlin and Roselyne Jada McLaughlin; a host of nieces and nephews; and many relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM Monday September 25, 2023 at the Chapel of Crisp Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will be held 5:00 PM Monday September 25, 2023 at the Chapel of Crisp Funeral Home.
Burial will be at Locust Field Cemetery at a later time.
