Obituary of Glenda Brendle

Glenda Lee Brendle, 80 years young of the Maple Springs Community, went home to be with the Lord, Sunday, August 27, 2023. A native of Swain County, Glenda was born to the late Fred and Bessie Freeman Breedlove October 09, 1942. In addition to her parents, she was preceding in death by her husband Edward Brendle, five sisters: Pauline Brawley, Joyce Eunice, Muriel Calhoun, Lou-Mae Ayers, and Virginia King; and one brother: Frank Breedlove. She is survived by her daughter Teresa Thomasson and son-in-law Kevin Thomasson of Bryson City. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Rebecca Thomasson of Sparks GA, and Christopher Thomasson of Redding, CA. An older brother Thad Breedlove, of Gastonia, NC, and an older sister Byrdell Sparks, of Statesville, NC. Funeral Services will be held Saturday September 2, 2023, at the Chapel of Crisp Funeral Home at 11:00 am with the Rev. Max Cochran officiating. The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service and burial will follow the services at the Maple Springs Cemetery.
