Obituary of Bobby Aaron Bowers

Bobby Aaron Bowers, 86, of the Alarka Community passed away Monday, December 3, 2012 in a Swain County health care facility. A native of Swain County, he was the son of the late Daniel and Fannie Ledford Bowers and the husband of the late Cora Lee Bowers. He was also preceded in death by a son, Keith Bowers; step sons, Bill Edwards, Nelson Jones; step daughter, Alda Maney; two brothers; and three sisters. He is survived by one daughter, Judith Allen Parris and husband Eual Ray of Bryson City; step sons, Arvile Bowers and Lyle Edwards of Bryson City; step daughter, Helen Woodard of Bryson City; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; special friends, Selma, Joe, and John; two brothers, Elbert Bowers of California, Neal Bowers of Michigan; and one sister, Trulla Cloniger of Dallas, NC. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday in the chapel of Crisp Funeral Home. Rev. Tim Barker will officiate with burial in Swain Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 1 until 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
