Obituary of Beatrice Faye Gibson

Beatrice Cochran Gibson, 80, of the Alarka Community, passed away on July 2, 2023. Born March 7, 1943, she was the daughter of Thomas Cochran and Katie Jenkins Cochran. She was a gardener and home maker, and a member of the Seventh Day Adventists.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Edward Gibson Sr., and a son Paul Edward Gibson Jr., six sisters: Ruth Askew, Hazel Wilson, Grace Dunning, and 3 infant sisters, and 6 brothers: William Cochran, Robert Cochran, Lewis Cochran, Enoch Cochran, Curtis Cochran, and Donnie Cochran.
She is Survived by her four children: Catherine Finch of Tennessee, Caroline Kirkland, and Kenneth Gibson (Camilla) all of Bryson City. Four Grandchildren and a step-grandson Jeff, several great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held, Thursday, July 6, 2023, at 11:00 am, at the Chapel of Crisp Funeral Home, with the Rev. Kenneth Braswell and Rev. Phillip Cochran presiding. The Family will receive friends an hour prior to the service.
