Obituary of Inetta Sara Martin

Inetta Martin, 93, of Whittier, went home to be with the Lord Monday, June 12, 2023. A native of Jackson County, she was the daughter of the late Charles Medlin and Martha Guge Medlin. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband of 64 years David Harold Martin, siblings: Odell Medlin, Roberta Walls, and Darlene Israel.
Inetta was a feisty fun and loving woman. She loved her children without fault, her kids could do no wrong. She loved music and cooking and being a homemaker for her family. She loved all things related to sewing and quilting. She worked at Tuckaseegee Mills as a seamstress on their manufacturing line for many years.
Inetta is survived by her children, Larry Hyde and wife Pam of MI, Roger Hyde and wife Debbie of Waynesville, and Kathy Whiteside and husband Troy of Whittier; 5 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren, 12 great-great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM Friday June 16, 2023, at Crisp Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Union Hill Cemetery in Whittier, NC.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM Friday at the Funeral Home.
