Dear Family;
I will always remember if you went to Granny Messer’s once then you were family. You always got fed and blessed. It was a privilege to know her and see the joy that her and mom had during their days of working together at KFC. I can remember I would be going into work in the evenings she would be getting off and she would smile with that apron covered in flour from making those biscuits and say, “see you tomorrow girls.” Not goodbye, “see you soon, Lorene.”
