Obituary of Bruce Dean Sutton

Bruce Sutton, 65, of the Balltown Community went home to be with the Lord Friday, May 26, 2023. A native of Swain County he was the son of the late Eugene and Jo Ann Ball Sutton. Bruce was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed Hunting and especially Fishing. He loved were God placed him in Swain County and loved spending his time on Fontana Lake. He was of the Baptist Faith. Bruce is survived by his wife of 42 years, Deborah Sutton; his children, Brandon Sutton and wife Amanda, Daniel Sutton, Brandi Sutton (Brett), and Dana Sutton (Andy); granddaughters, Sarabeth, Abbygail, Dalila, and Dalanee Sutton, and one grandson by choice, Karver Plemmons. Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM Sunday at Crisp Funeral Home Chapel. Pastor Travis Watkins will officiate. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM Sunday at the Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Swain County East Elementary School Cafeteria Needy Child Fund at 4747 Ela Rd. Bryson City, NC 28713. Bruce loved his job at Swain East Elementary School working as a Custodian, and enjoyed seeing all of the children.
