Obituary of Cora Lee Kirkland Gosnell

Cora Lee Kirkland Gosnell, 74 , of 621 Tuckaseege Road, died on Tuesday, November 27, 2012. She was born in Swain County, daughter of the late Robert Lee and Ida Watson Kirkland. She was preceded in death by an infant daughter Sharon Renee Kirkland, 3 brothers Bob, Benny, and Mack Kirkland and 1 sister Alice Kirkland. She is survived by 2 daughters Cleda L. Kirkland of Mount Holly and Faye Heffner and husband Robbie of Mount Holly. 1 son Mickey Thomas of Gastonia. 4 sisters Christeen Mauney and husband Robert of Stanley, Dixie Hughes of Bryson City, Drama Woody and husband Charles of Belmont, and Wanda Ballew of Bryson City. 2 brothers John Kirkland and wife Linda of Charlotte and Taylor Kirkland. 3 grandchildren Tanya Inabnit and husband Jake of Leland, NC, Seth Pruitt of Gastonia, and Erika Thomas of Gastonia. 2 great grandchildren Michael Pruitt and Isaac Inabnit and numerous nieces and nephews.. A service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Gosnell will be held at 3:00 pm Saturday, December 1, 2012 at the Woodlawn Chapel with Rev. John Duncan officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. A visitation will be held from 1:00-2:00pm Sunday December 2, 2012 at Crisp Funeral Home in Bryson City, NC with a graveside service to follow at Lauada Cemetery in Bryson City.
