Harriett Anne Smiley “Anne” went to be with the lord and reunited with her precious son Paul Davidson Smiley on May 13, 2023. She was born July 13, 1933, to Roy and Emma Parris Carson of the Deep Creek Community.
She devoted her life to caring for others as a Nurse for over 50 years. She enjoyed the outdoors, gardening and tending her beautiful flowers.
In addition to her son and parents she was preceded in death by a sister Carolyn Newman.
A loving mother to her two daughters she loved her family, cooking for them and spending time together. She is survived by her daughters, Kim Dunlap & Karen Brooks. She was blessed with five grandsons: Beau Dunlap, Nathan Dunlap (Shannon), Joshua Brooks, Jacob Brooks (Megan) and Carson Gratton (Tess); and 7 precious great-grandchildren. Stevie Dunlap, Colby Dunlap, Eliana Dunlap, Jaylyn Dunlap, Bryson Brooks, Essie Brooks, and Myla Gratton. She is also Survived by her sisters Pat Fuller and Nancy Carson.
A graveside service will be held Friday May 26th at 2pm at Swain Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers the family contributions be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
