I am so sorry for his family’s loss. His mother Suzie would order boxes of catfish from me at Water’s Edge Seafood in Bryson City until we sold the restaurant. Carroll would usually be the one to come by and pick it up. He was always so friendly and nice. He always had some story to tell and I would kid him about getting fish on “state time”. Customers like him are the ones that you miss when you sale your business.

Q: Describe where Carroll worked and what they did
A: I worked with Ray in the fall of last year I could not describe how a better man could be but he loved his family. He talked about his family and there sports, how proud he was of his kids and wife and how he was about to retire and be home more this man will be missed.
My condolences to the family.

Ray, I will always remember your infectious smile and wonderful laugh. In my mind you will forever be playing on the basketball court, building campfires, and taking campers hiking around Swannanoa.
You will be missed.
