Viola Myers, 92, formerly of Bryson City and Waynesville, passed away Wednesday, September 14, 2011 in Greenville, S.C. A native of Swain County, she had lived in Greenville for the past 40 years. She was the daughter of the late Alvin and Nancy Griffin Myers. She was preceded in death by a son, William Myers; 11 brothers and sisters.
She is survived by her daughter, Oma Inman and husband Cecil of Marietta, S.C.; seven grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; and one sister, Mildred Smith of Cherokee.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday at Behtabara Baptist Church. Rev. Mark Mann will officiate with burial in the Birdtown Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 1 until 2 p.m. Saturday at the church.
Crisp Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
