Obituary of Jessie Cooper Clement

Jessie Cooper Clement died on November 15, 2012. She was born June 14, 1922 in Birdtown, NC (Swain County) to the late Zollie Arnold and Myrtle Keener Cooper. The oldest of nine children, Jessie grew up in Cherokee but lived in Hickory, NC most of her adult life.
Jessie was predeceased by her parents, Arnold and Myrtle Cooper; her sister, Frances Cooper Collins; her husband of 55 years, Clarence Edward Clement; her step-daughter, Dorothy Clement Key and step-son, Clarence Edward Clement, Jr; and a granddaughter, Lisa Clement Parker.
She is survived by her children, Raymond Patrick Clement (Sue), Gail Clement Greenway (Charles), Ronald Stephen Clement (Carol) and Diane Clement Bruner (James); her grandchildren, Ashley Clements (Steve), Kelly Boudoucis (Michael), Jonathan Adkins, Nancy Adkins Norris (Craig), Charles Collier, Andrew Collier, James Bruner (Lauren), Benjamin Bruner (Catlin), Jessica Grace Bruner, Sandra Annas (Clinton), Rebecca Key, Edward Clement, Jr. (Shelley), Scott Clement, Kimberly Poole (Greg), Mark Clement (Harriet) and many great grandchildren. Jessie is also survived by her siblings, Dixie Arneach (Newman), Wilma Morris, James Cooper (Janene), Candler Cooper (Bertie), Sue Owle, Barbara Strickland, Robert Cooper (Tommye); and many nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. at Olivet United Methodist Church in Cherokee on November 24, 2012.
