EVELYN WRIGHT WHITMIRE, 88, of the Panther Creek Community, passed away, Tuesday , December 1, 2009 at Mountain View Manor. A native of Graham County, she was the daughter of the late Richard and Vinnie Robinson Wright and stepdaughter of the late Ellis Marcus.
Preceded in death by a sister Glaydis Sawyer, stepsisters Estelle Jones, Marie Stillwell, Mamie DeHart and Olean Willison.
Survived by one daughter, Sandra Whitmire Childs and her husband Morris of Spartanburg, SC
One stepsister Mildred Crisp of Almond
A nephew Hal Franklin of Almond
And cousin Leadenia King of Almond
Funeral Services will be 2:00 PM Saturday in the Chapel of Crisp Funeral Home with the Rev. Marvin Mullinax officiating, with burial in Panther Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1 until 2 prior to the service at the Funeral Home.
