Obituary of Thomas V. Cunningham

Thomas V. Cunningham (Tommy), 70, of the Lauada Community went home to be with the Lord peacefully at his residence Tuesday, October 18, 2022. A native of Swain County he was the son of the late Thomas Charles Cunningham and Argie Cunningham.
Tommy was an avid hunter. He was a member of Cold Springs Baptist Church and was a very avid Gideon having a very strong faith. Tommy was a very devoted father and husband who loved his family. He co-owned Cunningham Nursery for 40+ years.
Tommy is survived by his wife of 40 years, Pam Cunningham; children, Tony Cunningham and wife Judy of Franklin, GA, Megan Cunningham of Bryson City, and Amy Nations and husband David of Bryson City; one grandson, Tanner Cunningham of Murfreesboro, TN; 1 brother, Harley Cunningham and wife Alita of Cherokee; 3 sisters, Doris Sneed and husband Richard of Cherokee, Sharon Cunningham of Bryson City, and Teresa Cunningham of Bryson City, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held 3:00 PM Thursday at Crisp Funeral Home Chapel. Pastor David Postell will officiate with burial at Swain Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM Thursday at Crisp Funeral Home.
