Gussie M. Hill, 97, of the Deep Creek Community died Sunday, September 11, 2011.
She was married 48 years to Millard Hill, Sr. who preceded her in death on August 21, 1984.
To this union was born three children, Myra who is deceased, (Buster) Millard Jr. of Bryson City, and Hazel Jackson of Ft. Pierce, FL. She also leaves three grandchildren, Chance Hill of Panama City Beach, FL, Tammie DeFonso and Todd Harriman of Ft. Pierce, FL; one great grandchild, Emma Hill of Panama City Beach, FL; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Hill lived in Ft. Lauderdale, FL from 1924 to 1979 where a hurricane demolished her home. She now resided in Bryson City with her son, Buster. She was an avid bowler and member of American Legion, Eagles, Moose, VFW, Elks, and auxiliaries.
No services are planned. Crisp Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
