Harrison Messer, 81, of Bryson City went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, July 19, 2022. Harrison was the son of the late Jim and Flonnie Messer. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his siblings, Arthur, Kelly, Bonnie, J.D., Gladys, Ellen, Mary Sue, John, Lessie, Carolyn, Billy, and Linda.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Rachel Messer; two children, Terry Barker and wife Sherrie of Darrington, WA, and Janice Jones of Bryson City; grandchildren, Brian, Damian, Destiny, Stephanie, and Nolan; great grandchildren, Dean, Kalli, and Hannah; siblings, Myrtle, Fannie, Ann, and Robert, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM Saturday at Crisp Funeral Home Chapel. Brothers Johnny Davis and Robert Lowe will officiate with burial at Wilmont Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM Saturday at the Funeral Home.
