Obituary of Nettie Robinson Oliver

Nettie Robinson Oliver, 95, passed away Sunday, June 26, 2022.
A native of Haywood and former resident of Swain County, she was the daughter of the late Aaron Benjamin and Lillie Mae Miller Robinson and wife of the late James C. Oliver.
She was a member of the Public Employees Retirement System in California and a founding member of the Glendora Congregational Church.
Nettie was preceded in death by her siblings, Eunice Skidmore, Bynum Kenelus “B.K.” Robinson, Benny Robinson, Frances Bates, and Robert Glen “Bobby” Robinson.
She is survived by her daughter, Jamelia Kaye Oliver and husband Victor Aguirre; granddaughter, Olivia Aguirre Delgadillo and husband Manuel; and two great grandchildren, Madden James Delgadillo and Lorén Olivia Delgadillo.
The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 am Friday at the church. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Friday, July 8, 2022 at the First Baptist Church of Bryson City. Jay Gilbert will officiate with burial in Swain Memorial Park.
At the conclusion of the services guests are invited to a memorial luncheon at Pasqualino’s.
