Obituary of James Edward Cochran

James Edward Cochran, 78, of Bryson City passed away Wednesday, June 29, 2022. A native of Swain County, he was the son of the late ZV and Hila Brendle Cochran.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Sheila Estep.
James was a sewing machine mechanic at Heritage Quilts, Bryson Manufacturing and Tuckasegee Mills. He was a small engine technician at Ace Hardware for several years and was also a lot of help at Cochran Nursery.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Kathryn Lee Cochran; sons, Michael and Daniel Cochran; and niece, Amy Robertson and her family.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm Sunday in the chapel of Crisp Funeral Home.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 3 pm Sunday at the funeral home.
The family has requested face coverings be worn during the visitation and funeral.
