Obituary of William Lewis

Sheriff William (Bill) Lewis, 97, of Bryson City passed away Tuesday, May 24, 2022. A native of Jackson County, he was the son of the late William Baxter and Arlesie Watson Lewis and husband of the late Agnes Hooper.
He was an ex-Deputy US Marshal, moved and built homes, farmer, avid moose hunter, loved to fish, and was a US Army Veteran having served in WWII.
He is survived by his son, Ricky Lewis.
The family will receive friends from 12 to 2 pm Tuesday, May 31, 2022 at Crisp Funeral Home.
