Bryson City Dateline McKinley (Kin) H. Willis, 86, of the Grassy Branch Community went home to be with the Lord Monday, September 5, 2011 at his residence. A native of Swain County, he was the son of the late Herman and Ethel Hyatt Willis. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy having served during WWII. He was a member of Maple Springs Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by two children, Warren Willis and McKay Stephenson. He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Louise Edwards Willis; five children, Lynn Cochran and husband Curtis, Dennis Stephenson and wife JoAnne, Shelda Calhoun and husband Wayne, all of Bryson City, Judy Willis, Nelson Willis, both of Sylva; four grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; one brother, Elmer Willis; five sisters, Lorine Hasley, Evelyn Sing, Viola Day, Isabelle Caldwell, and Linda Smith. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday in the chapel of Crisp Funeral Home. Revs. Clifford Willis and David Watkins will officiate.
