Mary Elizabeth Gaddis, 86, of Bryson City went home to be with the Lord Sunday March 6, 2022. A native of West Virginia, and longtime resident of Bryson City she was the daughter of the late Roy Elmer and Opal Smith Maynard. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her brothers and sisters, Johnny Maynard, Darlene Leake, Barbara Hevely, Roy Maynard, Connie Maynard, and Emma Sue Heaten.
She is survived by her husband, Carlton Lewis (Buddy) Gaddis; children, Debbie Sue Smith (Lynn) of Franklin, Ballard R. Williamson Jr. (Jennie) of Kentucky, William L. (Bill) Williamson (Carolyn) of Bryson City, Roy E. Williamson of Bryson City, and Gregory Joe Williamson of Franklin; grandchildren, Nathan Williamson, Jeremy Williamson, Cola Williamson, Ashley McGugan, Kristen Burchfield, Joshua Williamson, Caleb Williamson, and Miranda Williamson; great grandchildren, Faith Parker, Scout Claxton, Rowan Williamson, Pierce McGugan, Hunter Williamson, Brody Williamson, and Haizley Burchfield; brothers and sisters, Jackie Maynard, Sammy Maynard, Patsy O’Brian, Brenda McCoy, and Kathy Maynard.
A graveside service will be held 12:00 PM Friday, March 11, 2022 at Holly Springs Cemetery in Bryson City, NC.
