Barbara Higdon Burnett, 74, of the Brush Creek Community, in Bryson City, NC went home to be with the Lord Saturday, March 5, 2022. A native of Swain County she was the daughter of the late Marshall and Ann Nations Higdon. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by one great grandchild, Jamison Schaus. She is survived by her husband of 48 years, William Lester Burnett; daughters, Dinah Burnett Bowman and husband Jason of Buchanan, GA, and Shanna Burnett Camp of Powder Springs, GA; one brother, Steve Higdon and wife Donna of Bryson City, NC; grandchildren, Kaleigh Camp Levy, Ariel Schaus, Kassidy Camp Allen, Chad Suttles, Shaynae Schaus Blair, Luke Camp, Lindsey Camp, Jaide Bowman, and Allysun Bowman; three great grandchildren, and one niece. Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM Thursday at Crisp Funeral Home Chapel. Revs. Tony Cochran and Lowell York will officiate with burial at Truett Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM Wednesday at the Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Jason Bowman, Gary Blair, Riley Kiker, Chad Suttles, Luke Camp, Terrence Jackson, Kevin Mae, and Brandon Jordan.
