Clifford Ball of Bryson City, NC passed away Monday, February 28, 2022.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Saturday in the chapel of Crisp Funeral Home. Rev. Darren Cochran will officiate with burial in the Yellowhill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12 to 1 pm Saturday at the funeral home.
Clifford, born in Swain County in 1939, was the son of the late Frank and Eddie Wiggins Ball. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Stella Ball, and his many siblings.
He is survived by: son, Stephen Dale Cochran and wife Stephanie Cochran of Franklin; granddaughter, Britni Simpson of Lincoln; grandsons Tristan Ammons of Franklin and Cody Simpson of Omaha; and several nieces, Joyce Lowe, Alice King, Edith Kirkland, Jody Ball, Betty Jean Pie; and nephew, Mike Ball; along with several step-children and step-grandchildren.

Q: How would you describe Clifford to someone who had never met them?
A: Clifford Ball also left behind three, beautiful, biological grandchildren, by his son Stephen Dale Cochran, Britni Nicole Simpson (Cochran), Tristan Ammons (Cochran), and Cody Dylan Simpson (Stephen Cody Cochran).
Cody spent a lot of time learning and getting to know his grandfather and misses him very much.
