Marjorie (Pete) Gibson, 82, of Bryson City went home to be with the Lord Saturday, February 5, 2022. A native of Swain County she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Essie Smiley. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, James Harvey Gibson; a son, James Michael Gibson.
She is survived by one son, Jeremy Gibson; three grandchildren, Sarah Minuto, Aerielle Gibson, and Aedan Gibson; two brothers, Bill Smiley, and Paul Smiley; one sister, Colleen Calhoun, and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, February 26, 2022 at Crisp Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow the service at Swain Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM Saturday, February 26, 2022 at the Funeral Home.
