Obituary of Edith Fisher Welch

Edith Fisher Welch, 92, of Bryson City passed away Thursday, October 4, 2012 in Sylva Hospital. A native of Swain County, she was the daughter of the late Daniel and Nannie Conley Fisher and wife of the late Elbert Welch. She is survived by two children, Virginia Gribble of Sylva, Dan Welch and wife Moira of Greenville, SC; four grandchildren, Tony Gibson and wife Mona, Beth Zahller and husband Bill, Jeffrey Welch, Nathan Welch; two great grandchildren, Mia and Ava. The family will receive friends from 3 until 4 p.m. Sunday at Crisp Funeral Home. Private graveside services will be held immediately following the visitation. Memorials may be made to the Bryson City Cemetery Fund c/o Town of Bryson City.
