Obituary of John Dillard Frazier

John D. Frazier, 88, of the Franklin Grove Community went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, May 4, 2010 in a Swain County health care facility. A native of Haywood County, he had lived in Swain County for the past 48 years. He was the son of the late Hillard and Arzella Paige Frazier. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served in WWII. He was a member of Brush Creek Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Athelene DeHart Frazier; four children, Elaine Duncan of Houston, TX, Roger Frazier of Houston, TX, Wayne Frazier and wife Nancy of Happy Jack, Arizona, Anne Marr and husband John of Bryson City; two grandchildren, Angela Biggs and husband Kep of Bryson City, John Marr, Jr. and wife Jenifer of Bryson City; four great grandsons, Kade, Kinley, Johnny, Eli; and two sisters, Mae Mintz of Fayetteville, NC, and Maggie Orten of Salem, NJ. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday in the chapel of Crisp Funeral Home. Rev. Eddie Dietz will officiate with burial in Panther Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1 until 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
