Steve Michael Straughn, 62, of Bryson City passed away on April 19, 2021. He was born in Nashville, Tennessee on February, 4 1959 to the late Charles and Betty Straughn. Steve lived in Tampa, Florida for twenty years before moving to Bryson City over thirty years ago with his wife, Debbie Straughn, who survives him. He enjoyed spending time with his grandkids. Steve loved to sing and play guitar, as well as fish, all while sipping a cold beer. In addition to his wife, he is survived by three daughters, Sara Biel, Grace McNorrill (Jimmy), and Alicia Mirabella; two sons, Charlie Osborne and Richard Mirabella; one sister, Karen Miller; one brother Joe Straughn and nine grandchildren, LJ, Katelyn, Tony, and Haylie McNorrill, Gaberilla and Zack Hoegland, Lilly Milne, and Alexis and Parker Biel. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one brother, Mark Straughn and a mother in law, Margie Straughn. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 28, 2021, at 1:00pm, at the Chapel of Crisp Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 12:00pm until 1:00pm prior to the service. Crisp Funeral Home is assisting the Straughn family with arrangements.
