Obituary of Irene Crisp

IRENE HYDE CRISP BRYSON CITY - Irene Hyde Crisp, 80, went home to be with the Lord on August, 31, 2012, at The Oaks rehabilitation home in Arden, NC. She was born Jun 15, 1932, in Swain County, daughter of the late Ervin Marcus Hyde and Alice Florence Medlin Hyde. Irene graduated from Swain County High School, class of 1952. She married Clinton Crisp of Proctor, NC in 1951. They celebrated 56 adventurous years of marriage. Irene is the beloved mother of: six children, Angela Warf and Husband Scot, Patricia Howard and husband Timothy, Gloria Kaylor and husband John, Johnny Crisp, Van Crisp and wife Leah, and Steven Crisp and wife Shonda; twelve grandchildren, Emily Morgan McLeod, Aaron Morgan, Rebecca Howard Cower, Ryan Howard, Robert Howard, Greta Reagan Edwards, Adriana Kaylor, Leanna Crisp, Zeb Crisp, Vanessa Crisp, Elizabeth Haynes, and Skyler Crisp; and seven great grandchildren, Haley McLeod, Dylan McLeod, John Cower, Thomas Cower, Jamie Edwards, Gracie Edwards, and McKenzie Harburn. She is also survived by one sister, Elizabeth Sue Hyde, and two brothers, Carroll Hyde and Luke Hyde. She is preceded in death by her husband Clint Crisp; brothers, Walter S. Hyde, Herbert L. Hyde, and Barnell D. Hyde and; sisters Helen Hyde and Mary Alice Hyde; and granddaughter, Hannah Lee Reagan. Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM Monday, September 3, 2012,in the Chapel of Crisp Funeral Home. Rev. Charles Ray Ball will officiate with burial in Bryson City Cemetery.
