My favorite memory of my great uncle Ancil was the time he took me to the movies to see the Aristocats and took me for pizza at Charleys Pizza afterwards. I cherish the day. He sang all the songs and had me laughing so hard. I was very young and I had so much love and appreciation for him. He was and always has been an amazing man.
I am so saddened for this tremendous loss. You are all in my prayers.

So sorry to hear of Ancil’s passing. I worked with him in Cherokee-my first job. He was so pleasant and always made the employees feel special.

Ancil was a wonderful man. Always kind and easy to know. He came up to Michigan to visit his brother Collis when he was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer back in 1999. And came again 2 weeks later for the funeral. He has kept In touch with us for over 20 years to check on his sister in law Naomi and the rest of us. He called me shortly after hearing my father had passed in 2019. We talked a long time. About the Lord and our faith and his family. He told us to come on down and visit. I had actually planned on it but then the pandemic hit. Uncle Ancil we will meet again in heaven.
Condolences to Jan and his children ❤️

Jan, Michelle and Chris, I am so sorry for the loss of " the love of your life and best friend ." Ancil never met a stranger, he always made you feel at home when you came for a visit, especially for a big dinner. Just remember all the good times you all have to share. My thoughts and prayers are with you today and the weeks ahead. Love you, Willa Jean
