So sorry to hear about Teddy's passing! We served on the Folkmoot Board together for many years and tag-teamed on many performances. I was the MC and Teddy was responsible for setting up the mics between acts. Never dead stage when working with Teddy! He was so efficient and such a pleasure to work with. No one loved Folkmoot more than he did. He set the standard for dedication to the cause with his good natured enthusiasm. Beyond Folkmoot, our paths crossed many times over the years; especially at sporting events when I'd see Teddy with his omnipresent camera hanging from his neck. For all who knew Teddy, we have lost a great friend who will always be missed. My sincere condolences to Teddy's family and friends. RIP, my friend!

Teddy Greene will be remembered by so many people. His obituary showed just how involved in the community he was. I remember Teddy when I was just a child attending Cold Springs Baptist Church. Yes, I remember him in the capacity of active Sunday School Superintendent, but I remember him dressing up like Santa Claus and making his BIG entry through the old church and new church doors at the end of our Christmas programs. Then as I became a teenager he was always at our home sports games taking pictures for the local paper, and I think some of those same photos were used in the high school year book. Teddy was seen at so many events! Even after I became a grown adult and moved to Haywood County, I would still see Teddy at places here as well, and usually with his camera hung around his neck.
I hate that he is gone, and that it was this hellish Covid 19 that took him home. But I think we all know that he demonstrated his love for the Lord in all that he did, and now he is where he should be.
My deepest and sincerest condolences to his his family.

I was so sorry to hear of Teddy's passing. Even though I had not seen him recently, we worked together on several international projects to host the Lithuanian members of the folk ensemble Dainava to visit western NC in the 1990's and early 2000's. Teddy was always very resourceful, and committed to our projects, helping to secure food, lodging, transportation, and concert venues, and providing our Dainava friends with fun times. With a smile, and good-hearted humor, he traveled over much of western NC, Washington DC, Atlanta, and Florida, still with energy to spare at the end of our travels. Good times, never to be forgotten. My sympathies to his family and all who loved him...May God hold you in the hollow of His hand and bring peace to you through warm memories.

Teddy was a great friend and I miss him with all my soul. We were classmates at SCHS '67. I've never known anyone as genuine, sweet and caring as Teddy was. My condolences and prayers go out to his family during their time of grief. Teddy, rest easy now, and we'll catch up with you on down the trail . . .
